Questions such as:

• Can you perform outdoors?

Yes.  Please contact us regarding your specific event.

• Do you perform outside of the USA?

Yes.  Together, Aaron and Tad have performed in over 70 countries.

• Are Silks really made out of silk?

No.  But they sure are pretty anyway.  Polyester-blends.

• Do you have any color of silks besides black?

A Technicolor dreamcoat.  If we don't have it, we can probably get it.

• Can you perform over an audience?

Yes providing that there is a physical object such as a box, or 'defining' object (such as a rope) directly below our rigging point to create a safety zone.  So 'no', not 'directly over top of', but 'yes', 'in the general proximity of'. We also ask that security or staff be placed at the edge during such performances to prevent audience members from 'wandering' underneath the performers.

• What can you rig from?

Any I-beam, lighting truss, or permanent structural feature.  Also from aircraft cable, and certain natural objects such as trees.

• Will I have to hire riggers?

Depends... on the physical requirements of your space.  However in almost all cases, we are able to self-rig and in less than 15 minutes and using no more than a ladder or genie.

• What about costumes?

We have standard performance costumes, or we can create themed costumes for your event.

• Do you have insurance?

Yes, and we don't intend to ever use it :) !

• Can we be named as additionally insured?

Yep.  On paper and everything.

• Our ceilings are low, do you have any suggestions?

We have several options... contact us directly.

• I want more than 2 performers, do you have other partners?

We have aerial partners throughout the East Coast and Midwest that we are also proud to call friends.  Both Tad and Aaron perform as part of www.AERIALDUO.com.  Be sure to visit our website for trios, quads, groups and for male/female and female/female pairings.

• Do perform on anything other than silk?

Aerial Silk, Aerial Chain, Partner Acrobatics, Rope (Corde Lisse), Spanish Web, Hoop (Lyra), Song and Dance, and Fire.

• We have a conservative audience, do you have formal pieces?

Yes and we look great in our tuxes.

• We have a very daring audience, do you have anything a little 'different'?

Cows didn't get turned into leather for nothing.

• My girlfriends are throwing a bachlorette party...

• What is the minimum safety rating for your equipment?

Our equipment is rated at 2000 lbs and up.  Your rigging point must hold at least 500 lbs.  The greater the safety rating, the more stunts that we are able to offer.  Don't worry too much about rigging points.  We will make a complete inspection of your space and offer suggestions.

• How big should the stage be?  How high should the ceilings be?

Safety diameter:  minimum of 6' clear diameter directly below the aerial apparatus.  Height:  minimum of 12' for aerial.  8' for acro.

• I'm learning silks, do you train/teach?

We sure do.  And we offer workshops as well.  Please contact us directly.

• We want to start an afterschool program...

Kids are great.  MANTRYX Trivia:  Tad was actually a middle school teacher once upon a time.

• What about lodging, food, and travel?

We prefer to keep things simple for you.  As such, we offer 'turn-key' entertainment.  We take care of all our own arrangements in most cases.  The exception is when traveling out of the USA or when working for corporations with travel partnerships.

• The federal minimum wage is... will you.../oooo I just saw union scale...

Don't worry.  We only ask union rates when we are on union gigs.  You can probably afford us, we have lots of options and our performance fee can be scaled to your event in certain cases.

• My sister thinks you are cute.
